Opahi & Jamieson Bay 2013 Fishing Competition Results:
"Mike de Pont asked us to remember Graham Mickell, a long-time resident of Opahi Bay who passed away just prior to Christmas. Graham organised this competition for 23 years before passing the baton onto us a few years ago now. This year Jamieson’s Bay residents generously hosted the weigh in at 6pm with a free sausage sizzle provided by Kathi and Ken in memory of Bill Jones. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Kathi and Ken for helping take the registrations for this Fishing Contest at Jamieson Bay and also Mike and Maree Owston-Doyle for providing the certificates and chocolate fish for the children. Rheem New Zealand came to the party again generously providing prizes for trophy winners and spot prizes. Mike & Karena de Pont
